Our mission is to provide an organized forum for collaborative communication between residents, businesses, and non-profit groups to discuss ideas and take action for positive development and growth within the village of Thorndale. I Love Thorndale is essentially for anyone who loves Thorndale! Whether you are a business owner, a volunteer in one of our many civic groups, a resident, or simply just want to get involved in the community - you are welcome to join. Please feel free to come out to our next meeting.
We are proud to be one of the newest Jk-8 schools in Thames Valley, and the school is located in Thorndale Ontario. School Goal: For the 2012-2013 School year, we are working hard to improve our communication skills in literacy and numeracy. We are proud to offer our students many opportunities to get involved. These include a variety of academic, athletic, and musical clubs and teams.
On behalf of the Thorndale Lions, we extend our warmest welcome to the Thorndale Community. Lions International began in 1917 and has grown to 1.4 million members in 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries around the world. Thorndale Lions were chartered in 1947 and since then have been an integral part of the community. The club is responsible for building and maintaining the Community Centre for over 60 years. The Thorndale Lions Medical Centre celebrated 25 years of service in 2013 and has been a welcome addition to the area.
The Thorndale Optimist Club provides funding for projects you physically see, like the Thorndale Library Fund, skate board park, children’s playgrounds, splash pad, many local school programs, bike safety rodeo, summer and winter sports and more. We just recently sponsored the launch of a new Junior Optimist Club of Thorndale. For further information contact any member or Optimist President Bill Tipping at 519-461-0605.
